Golumpki (Polish Cabbage Rolls)

A hearty, traditional dish made with love and creativity! This comforting classic—also known as Golumpki—was submitted for this month’s ID Food Hub Chopped Challenge, using ingredients like turkey, eggs, cabbage, and tomatoes provided right from the Hub.
Rolled, baked, and sauced to perfection, this dish is a beautiful example of how tradition meets nourishment.
Ingredients
Filling:
1 lb ground turkey
2 cups cooked rice
1–2 eggs
Chopped onion
Garlic, paprika, Worcestershire sauce to taste
Tomato Sauce:
1 can of fire-roasted tomatoes
1 can of tomato soup
Instructions
Mix turkey, rice, eggs, onion, and spices for the filling.
Boil a whole cabbage, peeling leaves off as they soften.
Remove thick stems, place filling in leaves, and roll like burritos.
Layer rolls seam-side down in a baking dish with tomato sauce on the bottom and top.
Cover and bake at 325°F for about 1 hour, or until meat is fully cooked.
Optional: sprinkle with cheese before serving!
